Congo Mirador is a small village built on stilts in the middle of Lake Maracaibo, Latin America's largest oil field. "El Ultimo Año de El Congo Mirador" tells the story how several of its inhabitants are dealing with the gradual disappearance of their village as it is slowly turning into a swamp. Even though people are litterally "swimming in oil", neglect and corrosion not only leads to the decay of the village but of people's moral values. One village, one country, sinking in violence.

Long interviews with refugees who have arrived in Europe are translated into German/European languages and performed by actors in first person and local dialect. Part ONE was produced in Austria in 2016, further productions in other European countries are in development.
